New Delhi (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday strongly condemned the attacks on Fujairah in the UAE, which resulted in injuries to three Indian nationals. The Prime Minister termed the targeting of civilians and infrastructure as “unacceptable” and expressed India’s firm solidarity with the UAE.
Solidarity and Regional Stability
In a statement posted on X, PM Modi emphasized the importance of peace and maritime safety in the region:

Support for Diplomacy: The Prime Minister reiterated India’s support for the peaceful resolution of all issues through dialogue and diplomacy.

Maritime Security: He highlighted that ensuring safe and unimpeded navigation through the Strait of Hormuz is vital for regional peace, stability, and global energy security.

Welfare of Citizens: The Indian Embassy in the UAE confirmed it is in constant contact with local authorities to ensure the affected Indian nationals receive adequate medical care and welfare support.
UAE Holds Iran Responsible
The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the incidents as “renewed unprovoked Iranian aggression” involving missiles and drones.

Violations of International Law: The Ministry labeled the attacks an “unacceptable act of aggression” and a direct violation of the UN Charter and international law.

Right to Respond: Emphasizing that the UAE will not tolerate threats to its sovereignty, officials stated the country reserves its legitimate right to respond to protect its national security and territorial integrity.
