Loyola School Holds Investiture Ceremony 2026–27, New Student Council Takes Oath

Jamshedpur: Loyola School, Jamshedpur on Tuesday conducted its Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026–27, formally inducting the newly elected Student Council in an inspiring event. The programme commenced with an emphasis on the importance of leadership and the crucial role of the Student Council in promoting discipline, unity and student representation within the school.

The ceremonial procession was led by School President Arshpreet Kaur and Vice President Raj Krishna, followed by Principal Fr. Vinod Fernandes, Vice Principal Jayanthi Sheshadri, Coordinator Victoria Prasad and council members. The school choir’s melodious presentation added a solemn touch to the occasion.

Symbolic Transfer of Responsibility

A key highlight was the ceremonial handing over of the school flag by the Principal to the School President, symbolising the transfer of responsibility. This was followed by the investiture of badges to the President and Vice President. SPOs and Councillors from senior classes were conferred with badges by the Principal, Vice Principal, Coordinator and retiring teachers, marking their official assumption of duties.

Principal’s Address Inspires Students

Addressing the gathering, Fr. Vinod Fernandes stressed that true leadership lies in serving others with integrity and responsibility. He encouraged students to uphold the school’s values, learn from their experiences and remain committed in every task.

Oath-Taking Ceremony Conducted

The newly elected Student Council took the oath of office administered by the Principal, pledging to discharge their responsibilities with sincerity and dedication.

In her inaugural address, Arshpreet Kaur assured that student concerns would be addressed earnestly. She expressed her commitment to carrying forward the school’s legacy while setting new benchmarks through teamwork.

Recognition of Innovation

The ceremony also witnessed the announcement of winners of the Robotics Club event “Terrabot,” held on April 30, highlighting students’ innovation and technical excellence.

The programme concluded with the school anthem, leaving the audience inspired and reinforcing that leadership at Loyola School is rooted in service, integrity and collective growth.
