Ranchi: Addressing industrial representatives of the state at Project Building, Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Tuesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the upcoming Global Investors’ Summit 2017 through video conferencing on 16th February.
The CM said that in order to increase the GDP, per capita income and growth rate, this Global Investors’ Summit is being organized while ensuring the participation of renowned industrialists and business houses. “Corporate delegates from China and Australia are coming. Large, medium and small industries of Jharkhand can participate in the summit and hold B to B (business to business) talks and expand their business,” he said.
The CM said that Investment Promotion Board will be formed on state level and meeting will be conducted every month. The problems of investment will be sorted out in this meeting. More than 50 industries based on forest produce will be established. The export of lac is also being considered. The government wants resource based value added plants to be established in Jharkhand.
Das said that the government formulated policies in the interest of the people. He said that industries should be developed along with agriculture. Jharkhand will be free from extremism in 2017. Trade will increase with construction of a dock in Sahibganj. Ranchi-Jamshedpur-Dhanbad Golden Triangle will be considered for investment. Bhoomi Pujan for textile industry will be done in March.
