Jamshedpur: The Steel City is preparing to celebrate a historic milestone as it hosts the 75th edition of the Steel City Golf Tournament from January 16 to 18, 2026. This landmark platinum jubilee year marks nearly eight decades of golfing tradition in Jamshedpur, a legacy that began in 1951 under the patronage of Tata Steel.

More than 250 golfers from across India—including major hubs like Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Ranchi, and Paradip—will descend upon the city to compete in what has become one of the most prestigious fixtures on the regional sporting calendar.

Dual-Course Challenge: Beldih and Golmuri

The tournament will be played concurrently across two of the city’s iconic greens, offering a unique challenge to the participants:

  • Beldih Golf Course: A picturesque 18-hole course known for its strategic layout.
  • Golmuri Golf Course: A classic course that demands precision and skill.

The event is being spearheaded by a veteran organizing team, including Jamshedpur Golf Captain D B Sundar Ramam (VP, Corporate Services, Tata Steel), Golf Secretary Neeraj Kumar Sinha (Chief Safety, Tata Steel), and Golf CEO Alan Singh.

Beyond the Fairway: A Social Extravaganza

To celebrate 75 years, the tournament is blending high-stakes competition with a vibrant social calendar designed for golfers, corporate leaders, and dignitaries.
