Jamshedpur: The Kushal Educational Group has taken a significant step towards strengthening rural education by establishing Delhi World Public School (DWPS) in Purulia, West Bengal. The initiative aims to provide quality, globally benchmarked residential education and bridge the urban–rural education gap for students from Purulia, Jamshedpur, and surrounding regions.

To share details about the school’s academic vision, world-class facilities, and admissions, Kushal Educational Group Chairman Naresh Agrawal visited Jamshedpur on Saturday. A press conference was organised at the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bistupur, where he addressed the media.

“Our goal is not to chase excellence but to make it a habit. Through Delhi World Public School, Purulia, we are creating opportunities for students from Jamshedpur and nearby rural areas to access international-quality education,” Agrawal said.

25-Acre Campus with Focus on Safety and Infrastructure

Agrawal informed that the DWPS Purulia campus has been developed over nearly 25 acres and is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure. Student safety has been given top priority, with the entire campus secured through modern CCTV surveillance, controlled entry systems, and trained security personnel.

Nutritious Food and Student Welfare a Priority

Highlighting student welfare, he spoke about the school’s dedicated cafeteria that focuses on healthy and nutritious meals. The food services are managed in collaboration with Kushalpalli of Ajodhyahill, ensuring hygienic, balanced, and wholesome food for students.

CBSE Curriculum, Smart Classrooms and Robotics Lab

During the press briefing, Advocate Rajiv Agrawal said that DWPS Purulia follows the CBSE curriculum and features smart classrooms along with specialised laboratories for science, mathematics, and languages. To promote technical education, a Robotics Lab has been established in collaboration with Aerobe, enabling students to gain early exposure to future-ready technologies.

Safe Residential Facilities for Rural Students

SCCI Vice President Abhishek Agrawal Goldy said he had personally visited the Purulia campus and found the arrangements highly impressive. He noted that students from remote and rural areas are provided with secure residential facilities featuring 24×7 supervision, clean surroundings, and nutritious meals, offering a true “home away from home” environment.

Focus on Holistic Development and Sports

School Principal Sudha Singh said the institution places equal emphasis on academics and holistic development. Various clubs such as Rotary, Culinary, and Heritage are operational, along with international-standard sports facilities including horse riding, archery, swimming, cricket, and football.
“We believe in nurturing curious minds and preparing students to become sensitive, innovative, and future-ready leaders,” she said.

Experienced Leadership Team Guides the Institution

The school management highlighted the experienced leadership team steering DWPS Purulia. Educationist Debjani Sengupta, with over three decades of experience in national and international curricula, Dr Mrigank Mahato, and legal expert Alotria Mukherjee play key roles in strengthening the school’s academic, administrative, and ethical framework.

The management clarified that the initiative reflects the social commitment of Kushal Educational Group to empower students from Purulia and the Jharkhand–Bengal border regions through access to quality education.

SCCI President Manav Kedia welcomed the initiative, stating that the growing involvement of entrepreneurs in sectors like education and healthcare, beyond traditional businesses, is a positive and much-needed development.
