Jamshedpur, June 5: In celebration of World Environment Day, DBMS College of Education conducted a plantation drive on Monday, emphasizing the importance of environmental preservation. As part of the initiative, 10 different types of saplings were planted on the college premises.
B. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of the college, highlighted the significance of observing Environment Day, stating that it serves as a reminder for individuals to be more conscious of their actions and contribute to the preservation of the environment by planting saplings. Priya Dharmarajan, the college secretary, emphasized the urgent need to protect the environment, emphasizing that the well-being of our future generations relies on it. She emphasized that human existence is intrinsically linked to nature. The plantation programme witnessed the presence of esteemed individuals including General Secretary Usha Ramanathan, Geeta Natarajan, Dr. Juhi Sedda, Birendra Pandey, Babu Rao, Julian Anthony, Malti, Bhim, among others. Their active participation demonstrated their commitment to environmental conservation.
