CM reviews preparations for 15th November, addresses bureaucrats
Ranchi: Reviewing preparations for Jharkhand’s Establishment Day at Project Building, Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said the state had taken a turn towards development for the first time after its formation. “A very strong image of the state is reflected all over the country. Hence, Establishment of the state should be celebrated as a fortnightly event instead of being celebrated as a daylong event,” he said.
Das said that a composite development of the state had been possible in the last 1000 days because of people’s participation. “The foundation day event should be conducted from 1st to 15th November. MPs, ministers and MLAs should inaugurate and lay foundation stone of different schemes along with the beneficiaries and celebrate it.
On 15th November, elaborate programmes should be organized such as foundation laying ceremony, inauguration of big projects and appointment letter distribution and felicitation of winners of various competitions,” he said.
Schemes worth approximately Rs 10,000 crore will be launched and nearly 1 lakh people will be given certificates of digital literacy on the foundation day. Football matches from panchayat level to state level will be played under Kamal Club.
The day’s events will include launching of 108 ambulances, foundation stones of medical colleges and universities, dairy plant inauguration at Giridih and Jamshedpur and distribution of LPG connections, stoves and 56 lakh mosquito nets.
