Jamshedpur, May 5: On the instructions of Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy, work of laying pipelines for drinking water supply under Moharda water supply in the left out areas has begun.
The areas include Vastu Vihar, Bagunhatu, Baridih Basti, Laltand, Moharda, Murakati, Birsanagar zone no and Mochi Basti.
Even after the commencement of the Moharda Water Supply Scheme, the people of these areas were deprived of drinking water supply from the Moharda Water Supply Scheme. After Saryu Roy became an MLA from the eastern region, during his field visit, the people of the said area had requested him to arrange drinking water supply in their locality as well.
Roy had expressed surprise that even after years of water supply scheme, drinking water pipeline had not been laid in these areas.
For the early laying of pipelines in these areas, the work of laying pipelines started after meeting the concerned officials. With the laying of pipelines in these areas, water supply connections will be provided to more than 500 houses at minimum cost and water supply will start.
