Jamshedpur, April 20: A team of Rail police officials arrested one Ali Hussain for allegedly stealing the purse of a passenger at Tatanagar railway station on Wednesday.
The accused, a resident of Garib Nawaz Colony, Jugsalai, was nabbed by a vigilant Crime Prevention and Detection Squad of Railway Protection Force (RPF). He was reportedly moving around the platform in suspicious condition. During interrogation, cops found a purse on him. Just then, a passenger by the name of Prakash Gupta, a native of Rohtas (Bihar), came to the RPF post and informed the cops about his stolen purse. Gupta said he was sleeping at the platform when his purse got stolen. The cops soon checked the purse and found Gupta’s Adhaar Card in it. An FIR was lodged againt Hussain in this connection.
