Jamshedpur: The Photographers Association Jamshedpur organised a solemn swearing-in ceremony today at Chandravanshi Bhavan, Kashidih, where the new executive committee assumed charge and the outgoing committee formally handed over all accounts and administrative documents. Former President Ashok Kesari led the transition by handing over leadership responsibilities to the newly elected President Anand Kumar Singh and his team, who signed an affidavit and officially accepted their duties. Former Secretary Rupesh Kumar and former Treasurer Somen Sarkar completed the systematic transfer of records, ensuring a smooth and transparent transition.
A key highlight of the event was the announcement of the Association’s Board of Patrons. Ashok Kumar, Rupesh Kumar, Mahesh Kumar, and Mukesh Prasad were honored with Patron Certificates and medals in recognition of their contributions and longstanding support.
The new executive committee, which will guide the Association for the coming term, includes President Anand Kumar Singh, Vice President Kamlesh Kumar, Secretary Daljit Singh, Joint Secretaries Rajesh Prasad and Balram Sardar, Treasurer Shiv Shankar Gorai, and Joint Treasurer Vinay Kumar. Several members were appointed to the executive body, including Ranjit Singh Gabri, Omprakash Shah, Hari Narayan Prasad, Nandu Rajak, Rajneesh Upadhyay, Ravi Kushwaha, and others.
More than 100 photographers from across the city were present at the event, witnessing this significant moment for the Association. The gathering reflected unity, enthusiasm, and collective commitment toward strengthening the professional community as the newly appointed team took charge with renewed vision and responsibility.
