Jamshedpur: The Naman Parivar observed the martyrdom day of the great revolutionary Kartar Singh Sarabha with reverence and patriotic fervour. Sarabha, who laid down his life for the nation at the young age of 19, was remembered for his unmatched courage, sacrifice, and dedication to India’s freedom struggle. A large number of women, youth, and prominent citizens of the city attended the programme and paid floral tributes before his portrait.
Speaking on the occasion, senior INTUC leader Rakeshwar Pandey said that Kartar Singh Sarabha remains an immortal figure in the history of India’s independence. He added that the Naman Parivar, through this event, is playing a significant role in spreading Sarabha’s message of sacrifice and patriotism among the masses.
Former Tata Motors Workers Union President Gurmeet Singh Tote emphasised that Sarabha’s martyrdom is a reminder that India’s freedom is built on countless sacrifices. He urged today’s youth to draw inspiration from Sarabha’s extraordinary life and contribute actively to nation-building and social upliftment.
Senior journalist Brijbhushan Singh highlighted that at an age when most youngsters dream of their future, Sarabha made freedom for the nation his only mission. He described Sarabha’s life as a shining example of discipline, sacrifice, and fearless patriotism.
Members of the Ramlila Utsav Samiti, including Ramkewal Mishra, litterateur Balwinder Singh, and Naman Parivar’s Ritika Srivastava, fondly recalled Sarabha’s valor and unwavering commitment to the nation. They said his indomitable spirit continues to inspire the younger generation to uphold values of courage, integrity, and national pride. The vote of thanks was delivered by Jugun Pandey, founding member of Naman.
