Jamshedpur: The mystery behind the abduction of a six-year-old Arish Gaddi from Ramdas Bhatta Gwala Basti under Bistupur police station has been solved.
Jamshedpur City SP Kumar Shivashish, addressing a press conference on Saturday, revealed that a personal grudge was the motive behind the kidnapping.
According to the City SP, Arish’s father, Firdous Gaddi, had employed three workers who were owed some pending wages. When Firdous failed to pay them, the trio decided to take revenge by abducting his young son.
Acting swiftly, police arrested the main accused, Sheikh Ishadul Haq, while efforts are on to nab the remaining two accomplices.
SP Shivashish said he personally monitored the investigation, and the alertness of the Bistupur police team played a crucial role in safely rescuing the child.
The SP reiterated that no criminal would be spared and urged parents to stay vigilant about their children’s safety.
He also appealed to the public to immediately inform the police of any suspicious activities in their locality.
