People�s participation in development essential: Champai Soren

Seraikela: State Adivasi welfare, transport and industry minister Champai Soren today called on the people of the state to enhance their level of education to contribute to the overall development of the state.

He also asked the tribal people, especially women to avail maximum benefits of the various welfare schemes being run by the government.

He was speaking as the chief guest during the Independence Day function organized by the district administration of Seraikela-Kharsawan on Friday at Birsa Munda Stadium in Seraikela. He hoisted the national flag and also inspected the parade by students.

In his address, Soren said everyone should understand the significance and true meaning of independence and utilize it for the benefit of the society and the country at large.

He said the youths should come forward and lead the state to become one of the most developed state in the country.

He said the government was creating opportunities for the youths so that they do not have to go to other states in search of job. He said the people should participate in the development process.

Other dignitaries present on the occasion included the deputy commissioner Hansraj Singh, superintendent of police Madan Mohan Lal and DDC Raymond Kerketta.
