People on ‘padyatra’ for safe environment

Jamshedpur, May 20: As part of mass awareness programme, Tata Steel’s, Urban Services Department organised a “Padyatra” from Kasidih Community Centre.

The Theme for the event was “Save Water, Electricity & Environment” A team of more than 100 people walked around the bustee and nearby areas holding placards and banners on various environmental issues.

The team also distributed pamphlets on “No Use of Plastic” G M Sharan, Head Special Projects & Urban Services, Tata Steel and Mr. R S Pandey Senior Manager, Urban Services, Tata Steel took part in the initiative for spreading awareness on saving waterelectricity & environment.

Urban Services has plans to create awareness on various social and environmental issues and would be organising various programmes and activities across the city of Jamshedpur throughout the year.
