Jamshedpur, Dec. 1: Congress candidate from Jamshedpur West and former state agriculture minister in state cabinet Banna Gupta is on campaign spree. On Sunday Banna visited Sonari and Kadma Gurudwara and also took Priest’s blessings at St. Anthony Church. He also addressed a rally at Kadma Uliyan Bajrang Akhara Maidan and said that people have seen working style of the BJP MLA from Jamshedpur West. He accused the BJP MLA for only making his presence felt in the newspapers and failed to make direct dialogue with the people of his constituency and was always insensitive towards the citizen.
“BJP today is battling inner conscience and the party failed to get any suitable candidate from Jamshedpur West seat. BJP fielded a very weak candidate from the seat who had nothing to with the issues at the local level,” added Banna.
Congress leader further said that BJP struggling for the existence in Jamshedpur West has roped in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other star campaigners. “During last Jharkhand Assembly election PM Modi urged the people of Jamshedpur to vote for Saryu Roy and also referred to him as his friend but today its is Saryu only who his trying to pip BJP. It will be interesting to hear from PM what he refers to the candidate this time when he addresses the rally at Gopal Maidan on Tuesday, December 3,” added Banna. This time people of Jamshedpur will not fall prey to empty promises made by the BJP candidate which come out to be mere jumlas. He appealed the people to vote for Congress for overall development of the region.
