Jamshedpur, Dec 1: All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) supremo Sudesh Mahato Sunday said the Jharkhand Assembly elections should be fought on local issues. He said AJSU will always stand in solidarity with the common man. He said his party believed in respecting the mandate of the people. He said all people of Jharkhand have equal constitutional rights and hence no efforts should be made to divide them on the basis of their native state or place of origin.
Hitting out at Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, the AJSU leader said the party was known far and wide for having looted the natural resources of Jharkhand and cheating its people. AJSU can never be compared to these parties, he said.
Mahato said AJSU sitting MLA from Jugsalai Ramchandra Sahis had done a lot for the people of his constituency. He also sought voters support for party candidates from Potka and Jamshedpur West respectively, Bulurani Singh and Munna Singh Brajesh.
The AJSU leader also made a veiled attack on former ally BJP. He said the BJP had given the responsibility of campaign to PM, Home Minister, Chief Minister and many big heads of the party. But in AJSU, Sudesh Mahato and Ramchandra Sahis are powering the campaign, he said.
