Jamshedpur: Pehchan Diwas was observed for transgenders and eunuchs at Dhatkidih community centre on Friday under the joint aegis of East Singhbhum district administration, Urban Services, Tata Steel, and self help group Basera. The purpose of the event was to ensure that transgenders and eunuchs get the benefits of various government schemes including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. As many as 50 transgenders and eunuchs participated in the programme. They were registered for Aadhar and PMAY. Many district administration and bank officials were present on the occasion.
