Jamshedpur, Dec 21: Model English School, Jawahar Nagar, Mango, organized 24th annual sports day at JRD Tata Sports Complex on December 21.
The event was graced by Dr. Amar Singh, Principal of Jamshedpur Co-operative College, as the Chief Guest. Shihan L. Nageswara Rao, Chief Coach of Tata Steel Karate Training Centre, and Dr. Hassan Imam Mallick from Tata Steel’s Sports Division attended as Guests of Honour.
The day featured a variety of exciting sporting events. Junior students participated in fun races like the boat race, octopus race, sack race, crab race, and umbrella race, while seniors showcased their skills in obstacle races, relay races, and hurdle races.
Akash, Area Manager of the Sports Academy and Adventure Program, felicitated the participants for their spirited performances. Peace House emerged as the overall winner, with Faith House securing the runner-up position.
Earlier, Headmaster, Swami Dayanand, delivered the welcome address, while Secretary Abdur Rashid gave the vote of thanks. The titles of Best Athlete were awarded to Md. Ayaz Khan of Class IX and Adeen Uzma of Class X for their outstanding performances.
