Jamshedpur: Chief Minister’s representative Pawan Agrawal on Friday honoured tribal religious head Mahavir Kujur and Geeta Kujur at Birsanagar Sarna Sthal and other priests at Jemco on the occasion of Guru Purnima.
In his address, Agrawal said the place of guru is the highest in everyone’s life. He said in both Sanatan and Sarna cultures, guru has a vital role to play. He sought blessings of Mahavir Kujur and Geeta Kujur for eradicating poverty, backwardness, illiteracy from the state of Jharkhand.
Agrawal said the state government led by CM Raghubar Das was trying to make the dreams of the tribals come true by expediting development and welfare projects like never before.
Among others present on the occasion included Satya Prakash Singh, Pushpa Tirkey, Prakash Koya, Anoop Topno, Boltu Sarkar, Probir Chatterjee, Bunty Agrawal and Deepak Jha.
