Jamshedpur, Aug. 16: Kerala Public School (KPS) Kadma celebrated the 71st Independence Day in the school premises on August 15.
The programme commenced with flag hoisting by the Chief Guest Sangeeta Jha, Criminal Head Lawyer, who was escorted by the Principal, Sharmila Mukherjee.
The school premises reverberated with the National Anthem and a welcome address by the Principal. The School Pupil Leader Rahul Gorai delivered a speech on Independence focusing on the importance of youth and values in the contemporary society.
The school choir of the English medium presented a patriotic song. There was also a speech on Independence by a student of the Project school followed by dance performance by the students of English and Hindi medium respectively.
The whole ambience was coated with a patriotic fervor. Chief Guest Sangeeta Jha delivered his speech on Independence, motivating each and every student with his views on the development of today�s youth and its contribution to the contemporary society.
All the students were inspired by the address of the Chief Guest. The programme drew to its closure with the delivery of the vote of thanks by Jaishree, Headmistress, Kerala Public School, Kadma.
