Jamshedpur, June 23: Patamda thana police in East Singhbhum district managed to nab the kingpin of an inter-state gang engaged in loot and dacoity from Kolkata in Bengal.
The arresting of Ravishankar Singh was done for truck loot. The accused stays in Khasmahal in Parsudih but is a native of Bakthiarpur in Patna, Bihar. Police have recovered laptop, mobile, vehicle documents, Aadhar card, Pan card, ATM and cheque book and other documents.
Incidentally, Patamda police had earlier arrested Sudeep Rai from Dus Number Basti under Sidhgora thana area on May 13 and during interrogation he had confessed about involvement of Ravishankar Singh in the entire episode. Earlier Parsudih police too had nabbed Ravishankar from Burnpur area in Bengal and more than two dozen cases of loot and dacoity was lodged against him at Adityapur, Gamharia, Kandra, Parsudih, MGM, Sundernagar, Mango and other police stations and his gang has several criminals who used to lock up workers in factories and loot valuable items.
Patamda police while probing a truck loot case near a fuel refill station had managed to trace Ravishankar Singh and the accused had confessed of his crime. He was caught from Sankrail area of Kolkata.
