Railway authorities cancel Patna-based woman�s ticket
Jamshedpur,June:In a bizarre incident, a woman passenger was to cancel her journey after her co-passengers refused to travel along with her on Thursday at Tatanagar Railway Station.
This was the first such incident reported at Tatanagar station when a passenger’s journey was canceled due to coughing.
A woman from Patna, with her two children, aged 3 and 5 respectively, had arrived at the Tatanagar station on Thursday morning to board Tata Danapur Express. Like other passengers, she too was standing in a queue for thermal scanning along with her children. The woman was continuously coughing and sneezing repeatedly in the queue.
Sensing trouble, passengers complained to the railway officials present at the station. They refused to travel with the lady passenger. Following the complaint, the Railway officers examined the woman, her body temperature was around 97 degrees and she had a coughing cold while both of her children were healthy.
A Railway doctor had examined the female passenger and her two children and before sending them to the MGM College and Hospital for further treatment. The female passenger is a resident of Patna and had come to Telco at her relative�s place two days ago. On Thursday morning she was scheduled to return to Patna by Danapur Express, however, she was stopped from traveling after the passengers started protesting.
