Jamshedpur, July 18: Under the 15-point program constituted by the Government of India for the welfare of minorities, Integrated Scheduled Tribe Development Agency, East Singhbhum Congress leader Paritosh Singh has been nominated as a member of the district level committee.
Giving information in this regard, Paritosh Singh said that in 2006, a 15-point committee was constituted by the Government of India for the development of minority communities. The main objective of which is to increase the opportunity of education among students of minority community, economic activities through existing and new schemes and ensuring equal share for minorities in employment, credit for self-employment and recruitment in state and central government jobs.
Increase in support, improvement in the standard of living of minorities by ensuring their fair share in infrastructure development schemes, prevention of communal disharmony and violence, control and implementation of the programme. Along with this, the benefits of various government schemes have to be extended to the deprived sections of the minority community.
Paritosh thanked the Deputy Commissioner of the district and said that he will make every possible effort to live up to the trust with which he has been entrusted with the responsibility in this committee.
