Jamshedpur, July 18. Sonari police arrested five members of the Hete gang with one country-made pistol, three live cartridges, two swords and five mobiles while they were planning an untoward incident in River’s Meet point.
The arrested accused include Sonu Singh alias Sial, Sumit Gorai alias Vicky, Santosh Swami alias Khatta, Rupesh Mahato and Akash Deep alias Pagla. Sumit Gorai, arrested in this case, is also accused of firing on Sumit Yadav on the night of 15 July.
Giving information in this regard, in-charge DSP Headquarters 2 Animesh Gupta said that firing was done on Sumit Yadav in the past. Meanwhile, information was received that some criminal elements were planning a robbery in River’s Meet point. The police raided by forming a team and arrested everyone. During interrogation, it was learned that all were planning to commit the robbery,.
