Jamshedpur, March 20: In a demonstration of dissatisfaction, parents gathered outside the District Superintendent of Education (DSE) office to protest against Narbheram Hansraj English School’s decision to fail 50 students in classes 9 and 11. Organized under the banner of the Jamshedpur Abhibhavak Sangh (Parents Association), the parents urged for the promotion of their children, citing alleged negligence and lack of support from the school management.

Parents expressed grievances against the school’s failure to provide adequate assistance to struggling students despite promises of additional classes. Only two additional classes were conducted to address the needs of children requiring special attention, despite the urgent demand for increased support from both school management and teachers.

They accused certain teachers of running coaching classes and pressurizing students to enroll there, further exacerbating the situation.

The school management defended its actions, asserting that efforts were made to improve the academic performance of the students, with prior warnings issued to parents regarding their children’s performance.

Amidst the ongoing dispute, parents continue to demand a second chance for their children and the promotion of those who had been unsuccessful in the exams of classes 9 and 11.
