Parents protest at KSMS Jamshedpur over high percentage failure in Grade XI

Mail News Service

Jamshedpur, March 21: Tension prevailed at the Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) in Golmuri as angry parents expressed their ire by protesting the high percentage failure in Grade XI exams of the school on Thursday, March 21. With approximately 70 to 80 students failing, parents questioned the school’s teaching methods and the management’s handling of the issue.

Parents voiced concerns, alleging that the sheer volume of failures indicated systemic issues within the school rather than shortcomings on the part of students. Some parents attributed their children’s failure to not taking tuition from school teachers, suggesting unfair practices.

Accusations surfaced, with parents claiming that the school’s motive to enhance its reputation for excellent results in 12th-grade exams led to the mass failure of students. Demands were made for either a reevaluation of results or exemption of fees for one academic year.

Despite parents’ pleas, the school management remained unyielding. Parents threatened to take up the issue with the Deputy Commissioner’s office if their grievances were not addressed.
