Jamshedpur, March 22: Parents of students who failed in the 9th and 11th grades in private schools of Jamshedpur have been demanding promotion for their children. At DBMS English School in Kadma, parents protested against the management, urging for their children’s promotion akin to Rajendra Vidyalaya School’s policy. The school management proposed counseling for the failed students, but parents insisted that counseling should have been initiated earlier. Parents planned to meet the Dhalbhum SDO Parul Singh and Deputy Commissioner regarding the issue.
Meanwhile, parents of failed students from Kerala Samajam Model School met the SDO, alleging injustice by the school management. They claimed that failed students were unjustly treated, even barred from entering the canteen. They asserted that students receiving tuition from school teachers were promoted, while those who did not take such tuitions were failed. Parents demanded an investigation into these claims and sought action against the school management, alongside promotion for the failed students.
The Jamshedpur Abhibhavak Sangh (Parents’ Association) also met the Deputy Commissioner, urging for the promotion of failed students and a ban on private tuition by school teachers. They raised concerns over approximately 2,000 failed students in private schools and criticized the schools for placing blame solely on candidates and parents. The association demanded a ban on private tuition by teachers, qualifications for class-wise teachers, initiation of special classes for weak students, and regular revision tests. They also advocated the promotion of all failed students, akin to certain schools’ practices of promoting students with non-marks.

The title of this article needs to be rewritten- There is nothing called “Failed Students”. No student is a failed student; they might have not qualified a particular examination. Unfair to tag them as failed student.
Yes it is correct to tell but school teachers are to be barred from taking pvt tuition
Mobile phones, Bikes, partying, comfort zone at home, social media involvement, parents not involving with their children studies are the reasons of students not qualifying in their academics. After school whose responsibility is it to see their children at home or doing their school assignments or not, nowadays these well to do families provide their teenaged children to use cars and allowing them late night parties in the name of birthday celebrations of their class fellows. Don’t you think the parents themselves are responsible for their children.
Ok i get that nowadays children are not studing but how 2000 student are failing from all jamshedpur pvt school when i was in 11 th grade teachers used to do force fail in examination by giving such a complicated question paper that our school topper used to just barely pass then gives children 2 option either give reexamination or repeat the same class oviously everone will chose re exam for which we have to again pay examination fee like 500 something per subject.

if you would have been really serious about your children’s education before…..This day would not have come and if out of 200 student if 150 has passed then that doesn’t mean all 150 have taken private tuition from their school teacher? Think on this matter before blaming on school..
Heads I win and tails you loose. No point , in casting slurs on the students , tagging them as failures or having a go at the teachers. Everyone, should be taught, how to be unsuccessful, then write his or her taught his story of success. While doing so, pursue a relentless effort and not casual, ” lying on the bed , reading bed time story ”
