Parag Mallick of Loyola School wins Elocution competition

Jamshedpur, September 1: As a part of the campaign on Energy Efficiency in Tata Steel, various initiatives for awareness of employees are being undertaken.

The generation of ideas for usage of energy more efficiently is being undertaken by the BPE (Operations) Group under the Shikhar 25 program for EBITDA (Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) improvement.

This campaign was launched by Anand Sen, President, TQM and Steel Business, Tata Steel on the 17th August, 2015 across all locations of Tata Steel.

As a part of this campaign, an interschool elocution on the topic �SAVE ENERGY FOR A BETTER FUTURE � HOW CAN WE USE IT MORE EFFICIENTLY IN OUR DAILY LIVES� was organised by BPE (Operations) and Corporate Sustainability Department, Tata Steel.

Fourteen students from schools of Jamshedpur participated in the competition. The winners of the competition were Parag Mallick of Loyola School, Animesh Sarkar of DAV Bistupur, Wanshita Singh of Sacred Heart Convent and Suparna Saha of Narbheram Hansraj English School.

The winners will be recognised by the Senior Management of Tata Steel in the closing function of the campaign on the 5th September.
