Jamshedpur, May 15: Pappu Upadhyay, who was accused in the Golmuri Changai Sabha case, was granted anticipatory bail by the Jamshedpur Civil Court on Monday. Upadhyay expressed happiness upon receiving bail and claimed that false cases were filed against Hindus by the administration. He further alleged that during the Corona period, religious conversion was being carried out by gathering crowds under the pretext of healing meetings, and despite notifying the administration, no action was taken. The conversion was opposed, and the administration filed a case stating that it was hindering government work. Two people were previously granted bail in this case, and Prakash Jha, a renowned advocate for criminal cases, represented Pappu Upadhyay in his plea for anticipatory bail. The case dates back to February 2022, in which 17 named and 100 unknown people were accused.
