Jamshedpur, Oct 24: The city witnessed a historic and spiritually charged moment on Friday when the Kinnar Akhara (the transgender community’s religious order) organized a grand religious conference for the first time in Jamshedpur. The event, held at the Michael John Auditorium in Bistupur, brought together devotees, saints, and eminent personalities from across the country.
The chief guest of the conference was Mahamandaleshwar Dr. Laxminarayan Tripathi of the Kinnar Akhara. Prior to the event, Dr. Tripathi visited the Ram Temple in the city and offered prayers for peace, prosperity, and harmony in the nation. A vibrant procession followed, passing through the main roads of Bistupur before culminating at the auditorium.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Tripathi said that the purpose of the religious conference was to spread awareness about the core values of Sanatan Dharma while promoting gender equality and inclusivity. “Our aim is to build a society where every individual, irrespective of gender, receives respect and dignity. We want to establish an environment of love, harmony, and spirituality,” she said.
Dr. Tripathi announced plans for the construction of a grand temple dedicated to Lord Ardhanarishwara and Maa Bhagwati in Jamshedpur, along with a Kinnar Ashram. She said that the temple would serve as a symbol of divine unity and equality, offering the transgender community a spiritual identity while spreading the message of compassion and coexistence.
The conference drew participation from several devotees, social workers, and religious figures. Among those present was noted social worker and actress Madhuri Dixit’s admirer, Pappu Sardar, who expressed his support for the initiative.
