Chaibasa, Oct 6: A panel discussion on women torture and child protection was organized in the SP�s office auditorium. The event was presided by SP Ajay Linda in which PLVs and others working for women�s rights and child protection participated.
Participants offered their views and suggestions on women�s torture, child torture and crime against children, human trafficking, witch-hunting and other related topics. Suggestions for prevention and eradication of these social malpractices were suggested by the participants. The panelists felt that wider awareness drives should be launched and that legal proceedings as per relevant provisions should be adopted to prevent such social offences. Those who participated in the panel discussion included Sraboni Mukherjee, Punita Tiwary, Subhasish, Prakash, Jitendra Mishra, Nargis Khatun, Ethan Surin, Angelina Kundalna, Pramila Patro and representatives of Childline.
