Jamshedpur, August 24: Local Panchayat Samiti members Gitika Prasad and Sunil Gupta jointly led a delegation and handed a letter of demand to the Circle Officer Anurag Srivastav demanding compensation for victims of flood residing in affected areas that included Bagbera Naya Basti, other low lying localities on road numbers 1,2 and3, Chandravanshi Mohalla, Singh Mohalla, Bora Patti Road and adjoining areas of Babakothi.
The demand letter handed to CO Anurag Srivastav demanded that flood waters in the localities of Bagbera had destroyed personal belongings of all residents of the localities mentioned. The losses amounted to lakhs of rupees as the innumerable affected people and their families were struggling to get back to their routine ways of livelihood as such, the demand letter mentioned that such people should be provided appropriate compensation for the losses suffered due to the flood. Circle Officer Anurag Srivastava expressed his sympathy for the flood victims and assured of all possible cooperation.
