JNAC eases parking fee norms in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, August 24: The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has eased parking fee norms vide an order issued by Special Officer Sanjay Kumar. This new order will be effective on police station-wise areas. Explaining the terms, JNAC Special Officer Sanjay Kumar said, “If one parks his vehicle, for instance, at the Basant Talkies parking lot, the person will have to pay the parking fee at that stand. Later if he has to park his vehicle along the parking stand on Straight Mile Road, he will be permitted to do so without further payment. But if the person goes to Bistupur and parks his vehicle at a stand under that police station area, he will have to pay the parking fee there as the Sakchi ticket will be valid in Sakchi stands only while the Bistupur parking ticket will be valid for all stands in Bistupur only.”

In the same vein, the parking contractors have also been directed to follow norms as mentioned in the new parking fee rules and action will be taken against them for breaching the regulations. The JNAC Special Officer stated that contractors had been picked after tenders were floated to the effect. Sanjay Kumar informed that three parking lots have been set up in Sakchi police station area.

The JNAC Special Officer said that the parking stand contractors had also been notified about the new regulations and flouting them would invite action against them.
