Panchayat representatives meet held in Seraikela

Seraikela: District administration of Seraikela-Kharsawan today organized a meeting of Zila Parishad members, mukhiyas, ward members and administration officials to discuss plans for development of panchayats. The meeting was held at the Community Building, Seraikela.

Presiding over the meeting, the deputy commissioner of Seraikela-Kharsawan K Srinivasan appealed to villagers to hold Gram Sabha in each and every panchayat of the district on a regular basis and chalk out the blueprint of development of villages.

He said the villagers should make development plans and implement the same according to their priorities. He said the Zila Parishad members had the duty of asking for suggestions and include the same in discussions before finalizing plans for development work.

The Zila Parishad members demanded Internet accessibility and installation of solar lights in villages.
Also present on the occasion was the SP of Seraikela-Kharsawan, Indrajeet Mahatha.
