Jamshedpur: The water crisis in Bagbera and Kitadih areas continues to persist in spite of the railways providing the NOC to the Bagbera drinking water project.
A delegation of Panchayat representatives met the executive engineer of the Drinking Water and sanitation Department at the Adityapur office and handed him a letter of demands. The demands included the quick laying of water pipes and repair of defective tube wells in view of the onset of summer.
It may be mentioned here that in spite of the railways NOC, the Rural Drinking Water Project at Bagbera is moving at a snails pace. The delegation demanded that the work on the project be speeded up in view of the relentless summer that has already set in.
The Panchayat delegation included Zila Parishad member Kishore Yadav, Mukhiya Ninu Kudada, Gauri Toppo, Deputy Mukhiya Sunil Gupta and other Panchayat representatives.
