Jamshedpur: An elderly person was hit by an unidentified vehicle at Sonari. A passerby rushed him to the MGM Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries in the course of treatment.
The dead person was identified as Yogendra Mishra, a retired officer of the purchase department in Usha Martin Company at Gamharia. He was a resident of Ashiana Garden.
According to reports, the deceased left his flat at Ashiana Garden for his usual morning walk. His family members grew worried at the delay in his return and they informed the police. The police told them that a person had been admitted to the MGM Hospital.
When the family members reached the hospital, they found Yogendra Mishra dead. The deceased�s son is in the merchant navy.
The police took the body under their charge and sent it for postmortem.
