Panchayat buildings to go hi-tech by 2017: Raghubar Das

Ranchi, Dec. 29: Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Tuesday said that the govt. targets to build Panchayat Buildings in the state by 2016-17 and connect them with IT by 2017.

It will minimize the gap between govt. and people and bring transparency in the governance. The development work will be audited and reviewed by a third party. He said it while addressing the people after initiation of �Yojana Banao Abhiyan� of RDD at a city hotel.

The CM said that the govt. wants to develop the villages. The policies related with the villages should be prepared at villages with the help of the people.

The CM himself will participate in 8- 10 panchayats to form policies for the villages. He said that ministers, MLAs, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, DCs and other officials should visit the villages and increase public participation in making the policies for the villages.

He said that the best district, block & panchayat will be awarded. At the same time, the offices giving derelictions in their duty will be reprimanded.

Mr. Das said that the 67,000 newly selected jansevaks will be trained to ensure development. He said that from the next year, water will be conserved for irrigation. New ponds, check-dams and dovas will be dug and old ones will be rejuvenated.

The Legislative Assembly Speaker Dinesh Oroan said that there is ample scope of agriculture in the state and we have to make the people aware of their duties. The positive atmosphere has to be retained.

The Rural Development Minister Nilkanth Singh Munda said that the Yojana Banao Abhiyan� will focus at the villages. In the 4402 panchayats, Rs. 4,000 crore schemes will be implemented. 600 state resort team and 22 thousand panchayat planning team members will participate in it. The campaign will start from February.

Sports Minister Amar Kr. Bauri, Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi, Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba, Development Commissioner R. S. Poddar, ATI MD Sudhir Kumar, Principal Secretary, RDD N.N.Sinha, Principal Secretary to the CM Sanjay Kumar along with Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, DCs & other senior officers were present on this occasion.
