Ranchi, December 10: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has announced that Bhim Rao Ambedkar hostel in Palamau will be developed as a model hostel.
Hemant Soren who was in Palamau on Friday as part of Khatiyani Johar Yatra said that no attention was paid to the maintenance of the hostel after the welfare department’s hostels were built. Now the work of renovation and reconstruction of all these hostels is being done by the state government. These hostels are being developed as hostels with all facilities. The Chief Minister said that best arrangements will be made for the children’s stay and their food in these hostels. Along with this, cooks and security guards will also be appointed in these hostels.
The Chief Minister was inspecting the hostel by garlanding the statue of Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar at Bhim Rao Ambedkar Hostel in Palamu during his visit to Palamu district.
Chief Minister Mr. Hemant Soren said that we all have to move forward by following the ideals and footsteps of Bhimrao Ambedkar. He said that the way the hostel is in a pathetic condition now, “Next time I come it will be made better and grand. Work is being done to develop this hostel as a model hostel,” said Soren.
After this, the Chief Minister took a tour of Palamu city. At the same time, blankets were also distributed among the needy at Daltonganj railway station in the presence of state minister, Drinking Water and Sanitation Department Mithilesh Kumar Thakur, agriculture minister Badal Patralekh and senior bureaucrats.
