Jamshedpur : The five decades old famous eating point near Tatanagar railway station was razed during an anti-encroachment drive carried out jointly by the railway and the local police on April 9.
Hotel Krishn set up over 50 years ago was taken after a court ordered for vacating the railway land. The decision was taken after court order from the Jamshedpur civil court.
Policemen along with excavators and dumpers razed the hotel. Meanwhile the owner of the hotel Mahabir Mishra has written letters to PM and President seeking their intervention.
The next hearing for the case is on April 23. It was a vegetarian eatery, where everyday about 1,000 people, mostly railway passengers would take break-fast, lunch and dinner.
As the eatery was situated along the Parsudih-Station-Jugsalai Road, people from the city also would visit the joint.
