Seraikela, October 16: There was chaos in the Community Health Centre Rajnagar after 40-45 people fell ill together from Golokutung village under Rajnagar block of Seraikela Kharsawan district and were admitted in the hospital on Friday night.

All the sick were rushed to the hospital with the promptness of Dr Jagannath Hembram, the medical officer-in-charge of the Community Health Center.

In-charge medical officer informed the matter to the Block Development Officer and the station in-charge, necessary medicines were made available to all the sick people. After which some people got well in the evening. But when on Thursday night, the elderly and children in the village started showing symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea, the villagers again informed the in-charge medical officer. With which the local social workers also came forward to cooperate.

On the instructions of Congress leader and Singhbhum MP Geeta Koda, the patients were admitted to the hospital by the representative of MP Motilal Gaur. And while talking to the civil surgeon for better treatment, he was assured of all possible help.

Doctors are also not giving any clear reason for the disease spread simultaneously. It is being speculated that the persons would have been suffering from food poisoning after taking part in a community feast  outside houses.
