Jamshedpur, April 4: The director and Pesh-e-Imam, Ziaur Rehman, of the non banking company Saz Nidhi Bank and Quasi Bank in Mango Zakirnagar, Jamshedpur, has allegedly fled with crores of rupees and jewelry belonging to depositors. Depositors are currently facing difficulties as the company’s office has been closed for several days.

Dr. Reena Azmi, a depositor of the company, lodged a complaint at the Azad Nagar police station against Ziaur Rehman, the manager, and the collection agent. However, when no action was taken, she approached the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) on Thursday, seeking justice.

Under Dr. Azmi’s leadership, affected individuals visited the SSP office and submitted a memorandum. Dr. Azmi revealed that she had taken a loan of Rs 2 lakh by pledging her jewelry with the company. Despite repaying the loan installment, her jewelry was not returned.

In her complaint to the SSP office, Dr. Azmi demanded the arrest of Ziaur Rahman. It is alleged that Ziaur Rehman, who was initially an imam at a mosque in Mango, later ventured into operating a chit fund company. Subsequently, he closed the company and went into hiding.

This incident has left depositors in distress and has raised concerns about the safety of their investments. Authorities are urged to take swift action to apprehend the accused and recover the funds of the affected depositors.
