Jamshedpur, April 9: Newly appointed superintendent of Sadar Hospital, Khasmahal Dr. Veena Singh on Sunday took charge.
Talking to the scribes, Dr. Veena Singh said, soon 24hrs OPD facility for gynecological diseases will start at Sadar Hospital. ‘From May 1 separate OPD facility will start functioning for surgery and ortho while separate OPD will also start for medicine and infant disorder’, informed the superintendent. It may be noted that till date gynecological diseases, infant disorder, ortho and surgery patients were treated at Medicine OPD of the hospital and patients along with doctors had to face issues.
Dr. Veena further said, ‘My priority would be to provide better treatment facilities and to overcome the shortages of the hospital staffs’.
She went on to say that currently 16 doctors on 30 approved posts and 18 nurses on 50 approved posts are working where four delivery and around 12 surgery happens daily and we would like to improve these numbers. Medicine shortage will also be removed, Dr. Veena added.
Also present were hospital management’s Prema Marandi, former superintendent Dr. BN Singh along with IMA district secretary Dr. Mritunjay Kumar and others were present.
