Online College Admission: Students facing harrowing time

Jamshedpur, June 17: The ongoing online admission process for Part 1 in various colleges affiliated to Kolhan University (KU) has put several students in trouble. Many who want to get admitted to various vocational courses available in the colleges have expressed concerns over the online admission procedure.

“I want to enroll for the Mass Communication course but in the application format of University’s website Mass Communication option is not there,” said a student Neha. She added, “I have been visiting the Internet cafe and college for the last three days but not getting substantial information in this regard.”

Another application Gourav says, “’I want to enroll for B.Sc IT, but in the application format other courses like BBA and BCA options are available, t not the B.Sc IT format.” On the other hand, some of the girls who visited the Graduate College in Sakchi complained about the BBA and BCA option absent from application format.

According to the applicants, out of the four popular bachelor degree courses (BBA, BCA, B.Sc IT and Mass Communication) two courses reflect on the website at a time while two remain absent.

Another applicant Priya said the glitches on the website appear due to technical fault and the university should fix it immediately.

“The university hasn’t received any complaints as such but none the less we will check it and if any fault is found on the website we will fix it as early as possible,” said Dr. SC Das, registrar, Kolhan University.
