Seraikela:Â Mohammed Shahnawaz, who stole a battery from the BSNL tower in the middle of Tuesday night in Hathitand village under Seraikela police station was arrested. While three others involved in the incident managed to escape from the spot. In connection with the incident, it is being told that around 1 o’clock in the night, four people were stealing batteries from the BSNL tower in the village. In which the four batteries of the tower were opened by the so-called thieves.
At this point, the villagers started running the thieves after a villager woke up to the thieves and made a noise. Meanwhile, one of the accused, Mohammad Shahnawaz of Poor Nawaz Colony of Jugsalai of Jamshedpur, climbed up in the hands of the villagers. While his three other companions, Jugsalai residents Mohammed Raja, Chedi and Atiq, managed to escape by putting them on the cart.
