One held in Chakradharpur shooting case

Chakradharpur , Nov 20: Based on a written complaint filed by Mukesh Ram Ravi alias Bamba on November 19, police registered FIR No. 144/2025 at Chakradharpur police station against accused Aman Kumar (22), son of Joginder Prasad Chaurasia of Pandithata Ward 10, and Mukesh Saw of Harijan Basti, Chakradharpur.

The duo was accused of firing at the complainant.

Given the seriousness of the case, a special raiding team was constituted under the instructions of the Assistant Superintendent of Police–cum–Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Chakradharpur, and the Officer-in-Charge of Chakradharpur Police Station.

Acting on intelligence inputs and technical surveillance, the team located and arrested the prime accused, Aman Kumar, on Wednesday. He has been sent to the court for judicial proceedings.

Arrested Accused:

Aman Kumar (22), son of Joginder Prasad Chaurasia, resident of Pandithata Ward No. 10, Chakradharpur, West Singhbhum.

Seized Items:

Three spent 7.65 mm cartridge shells
One pellet

2. Inspector-cum-Officer-in-Charge Awadhesh Kumar, Chakradharpur Police Station

5. Sub-Inspector Chandra Dev Kumar Manjhi

6. Sub-Inspector Sunil Pandey

7. Assistant Sub-Inspector Birbal Chaubey

8. Assistant Sub-Inspector Dilip Kumar and armed police personnel from the station

Police have intensified efforts to trace and apprehend the second accused, Mukesh Saw, who remains absconding.
