Chandil: One Umesh Mahato, drowned in Khokhro Karkidih river under Ichagarh police station area on Thursday.
Sources said the mishap occurred when six labourers were working on a tube floating in the river. The tube overturned and led to the mishap. The five other labourers somehow saved their lives.
