One dies, another injured in road mishap near Jamshedpur

Seraikela, May 5: An eighteen-year-old youth, Sandeep Singhdev, a resident of Chhota Chakdi village of Kuchai block, died after his bike collided with a trailer standing on the roadside in a road accident on Seraikela-Kandra main road under Seraikela police station late Thursday night.

 While his cousin Chandan Singhdev, 25, was seriously injured in the incident and is being treated at TMH.  The incident took place around 11 o’clock in the night. According to the information received in connection with the incident, the deceased along with his cousin had gone by bike to join duty in a company in Adityapur.

 After joining duty, both the brothers worked in the company from 2 to 10 pm. After finishing the duty, both the brothers were returning back to their village at night. Meanwhile, the bike collided from behind the trailer standing on the roadside near Kankra turn. After the collision of the bike, the driver of the trailer fled from the spot leaving the vehicle. After the incident, both the youths were lying on the road injured for a long time. When some passers-by caught sight of both the youths, they informed the Seraikela police station about the incident.

After getting the information, the police of Seraikela police station reached the spot and sent both the injured to Seraikela Sadar Hospital through an ambulance where doctors declared Sandeep Singhdev dead.
