Jamshedpur BJP leaders should agitate for jailed workers: Arrah MLA Amarendra Pratap Singh

Jamshedpur, May 5: Former minister in Bihar government and BJP MLA from Arrah Amarendra Pratap Singh said that BJP leaders should come to the street and agitate if their activists have been implicated in Shastrinagar communal violence case.

The BJP leader gave the statement to media after meeting  Abhay Singh, Sudhanshu Ojha, including Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal activists lodged in Ghaghidih jail in Shastri Nagar violence case of Kadma police station area.

Amarendra Pratap Singh told that remembering the old days, he had a very old relationship with the people of Jamshedpur and the workers here. The way the BJP workers have been implicated by the administration without any reason, it is condemnable. He said that he would inform the senior BJP leaders of Jharkhand about the incident.

“How people gathered there, where did people come from, how the stone pelting took place, all these should be thoroughly investigated. As all in jail are BJP workers BJP should agitate on this issue and I would convey this matter to the senior leaders,” said Singh.

Remembering the old days, he told that in 1990, he too used to be the President of Jamshedpur city unit, then there was agitation in one such case with the then Lalu Yadav government in Bihar. In all 32 BJP MLAs came here and took part in the agitation after the BJP’s agitation against the government.

Controversy after drinking alcohol, auto driver was beaten to death

Jamshedpur, May 5. Auto driver Manoj Yadav (36) of Parasnagar was beaten to death in Rajendranagar under Ulidih police station of Mango. The relatives got information about the incident on Friday morning. The relatives took the dead body from the post mortem house to MGM Hospital.

According to Ulidih police station in-charge Sonu Kumar, the injured was reported on 100 dial on Thursday night. On information, the police reached the spot and took the injured to MGM Hospital for treatment. After investigation there, he was declared dead. Due to non-availability of space in the mortuary, the body was sent to the post-mortem house.

  The family members were informed after identifying the deceased. The relatives said that the police sent the dead body for postmortem without informing them. The deceased used to drive an auto. He has two daughters and a son.

Vikas, the nephew of the deceased told that when maternal uncle (Manoj Yadav) did not return home on Thursday night, maternal aunt (Soni Devi) called his number. A woman picked up the phone and told that Manoj had come to drink. There was a dispute with someone here, after which he was beaten up. Manoj’s mobile phone is also missing.

After this everyone went out in search of maternal uncle. It was informed in the morning that his body has been kept in the post mortem house.
