One-Day Workshop on NEP at XITE College, Gamharia

Gamharia, Feb 24: XITE College in Gamharia organized a comprehensive one-day workshop that focused on the intricacies of the National Education Policy (NEP). Dr. Prabhat Kumar Pani, NAAC cum NEP Coordinator of Kolhan University, spoke on the nuances of NEP regulations.

The workshop dwelt on various aspects of NEP, including semester course codes, credit points, and the flexibility afforded to students in selecting subject combinations from both disciplinary and interdisciplinary programs. Dr. Pani commenced the session with a crucial introduction to NEP, delving into topics such as summer internships, apprenticeships, and project opportunities aimed at enhancing students’ practical knowledge.

Discussions encompassed both disciplinary and interdisciplinary research courses, underscoring the significance of exploring advanced topics. One of the highlights was a detailed study of the examination rules for Four-Year Undergraduate Programs (FYUGP), providing clarity and guidance to faculty members regarding assessment processes and compliance with NEP directives.

Principal Dr. Father E.A. Francis SJ, Vice Principal Fr. Dr. Mukti Clarence S.J., Dr. Sanchita Ghosh Choudhary, Dr. Swati Singh, Prof. Sushmita Choudhary Sen, Prof. Amit Chaturvedi, Prof. Nishit Prasad Singh, Naval Choudhary, lecturers, and a significant number of students were preent at the workshop.
