One day camp for bringing Sabars to social mainstream

Jamshedpur, June 8: A one day camp for linking Primitive Tribal Group (PTG) members to the social mainstream was organized at Sabarnagar in Gwalkanta panchayat of Potka block on Wednesday. It was organized for members of Sabar community, who belong to the PTG, following the instructions of Deputy Commissioner, East Singhbhum, Vijaya Jadhav, sources said.

Officials said efforts were made to link the Sabars to various welfare schemes being run by the government. Several stalls were set up at the camp for the benefit of the Sabars, they said.

Many senior district administration officials were present during the camp. They gave information to the beneficiaries about the benefits of various welfare schemes and appealed to them to avail the same without delay.
